You can feed your dog human food, yes at first it might get diarrhea, but in no time its stomach will get used to it. You will have a happier dog, and also it is much cheaper than feeding it dog food. Just don’t feed him chocolate, and he will be fine.

Well there is really a number of good diets(homemade and brought) out there, but it depends on the dogs condition and daily activities like; is the dog overweight? is the dog active? is the dog still growing (puppy)? has the dog got a sensitive stomach? is the dog diabetic? whats the dogs age?
growing dogs need alot of protein and some carbs, While overweight dogs should steer clear of the carbs and fats.
Ok now i personally feed my dog a mixture of lean cooked chicken(de boned) and dry kibble(good brand)
But i also know that the vet we go to feed most of the dogs hospitalised there cooked chicken, veggies and brown rice, that’s also a very good diet, ground beef is ok aswell.

Read ingredients on Natural food products, alot of them contain known toxic plants-such as Yucca-All parts of the plant are toxic, Avodoco-fruit, pits are toxic, Garlic is also toxic in high doses.

I’ld rather feed a known preimum brand such as Hill Science Diet, Iam, Royal Canin, Eukabana, I like purina one my self even though it not a preimum brand its not natural. then put my pet health at risk by feeding them known toxic plants. But it up to you what to feed your dog.

I’m guessing the Iam dry food would last about a month, maybe longer. I normally only feed the small packs.

Natural food makes the stool runny, smelly and awkward to pick up, i feed it to my dog for 2weeks and she was lethargic, not energetic, and actually looked really sick, her coat was poor. Never again will i feed my dog natural food again unless it the only products on the market.

I feed my dog all the food above, varing weekly my dog stool are not smelly, easy to pick up, and she got a lovely shiny coat and get comments where every she goes, how healthy she looks, her weight is perfect! She 9yrs old now, and full of energy and still love a game of tennis ball chasing or rope chasing and tug of war and going out for daily walks-she get vegetable scraps and red meat and canned food as well.

OK. I DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT FOOD, BUT I WILL RECOMMEND TO USE COMMERCIAL FOOD. I MEAN PEOPLE SPEND SO MANY YEARS TRYING TO GET THE BEST FORMULA FOR ANIMALS, WE HAVE TO TRUST THEM. BUT KEEP IN MIND EVERY ANIMAL IS DIFFERENT AND SOME INGREDIENTS CAN CAUSE ALLERGY REACTIONS, OR DIARRHEA, OR DRY HAIR, IS REALLY HARD TO GET THE PERFECT FOOD FOR EVERY BODY. BUT AT LEAST, COMMERCIAL FOOD HAS A BALANCE DIET FOR THEM. TRY TO LOOK FOR FOOD WITH LESS PRESERVATIVES, AND ADD SOME FATTY ACIDS, AND GLUCOSAMINE

I feed my pug dry food daily & she gets apples, carrotts, pea pods, & green beans as snacks also dental chews….her vet said she is a VERY happy healthy 7 year old pug!!! ☺

After HEAPS of research, my partner and I decided to put our dogs on a combination diet of BARF and premium dry food. Our BARF diet included the following:
(all blended together)
magoes
apples
pears
pumpkin
celery
sprouts
garlic (quite a bit)
carrot
capsicum
tuna in natural spring water
lambs liver & kidney
beef kidney
kangaroo mince (we live in Australia)
chicken mince and bone meal
beef mince
rice
pasta
2 dozen eggs, free range, shell and all
20kg bag of premium food was also mixed through.
(a couple of times a week they also get RAW bones, either chicken wings, or beef leg bones)
THey are given a daily probiotic, joint care and multi vitamin. They are fed less, less stools, and are looking fantastic.
If people do decide to go ahead witht he BARF diet, they MUST understand that they have to make it balanced, if they dont, they will cause all sort of dietary problems for their dogs.
